WELCOME to AIChE Boston!

AIChE-Boston (a/k/a “the Ichthyologists”) is the Boston Local Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. It is a 75 year old professional society with a rich history and over 600 active members, including engineers, scientists, managers, executives, professors, students, consultants, trainers, attorneys, investment specialists, and technologists.

From September through May we organize group events addressing a wide spectrum of member interests, from socializing to education, and networking to professional development. While the themes of our events revolve around chemical and biological engineering and allied fields, local membership and event participation is open to anyone.

We encourage you to explore our website – if you want more information, Contact Us. Thank you for visiting!

AIChE Boston Young Professionals

The Boston AIChE chapter is starting a young professionals group for the region.   We already had one networking meeting and in the future will be focusing on a mix of networking events, career development events and some less formal gatherings.

Who is a young professional? AIChE national defines a young professional as someone who has already graduated and is under 35 years old.  We are planning to stick with that definition, but if you don't quite fit you are still welcome to join us.

Also, please encourage anyone you think would be interested (direct reports, mentees, junior engineers in your company) to sign up for Young Professional announcements via the link below.
